1. The Promoter

This competition is organised and promoted by HauntMap, operated by Weekndr Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. References to "HauntMap", "we", "us", and "our" throughout these terms refer to Weekndr Ltd trading as HauntMap.

By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in full.

2. The Prize

One winner and one guest will receive a paranormal weekend in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday 17 October 2026, comprising:

The total approximate prize value is up to £550, depending on travel costs at time of booking.

The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered. The promoter reserves the right to substitute any element of the prize with an equivalent or higher-value alternative in the event of unavailability, including the Paranormal Scotland event should it be cancelled, postponed, or altered by the event organiser.

3. Eligibility

  1. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom only. Entries from outside the UK will not be eligible.
  2. The winner must be aged 18 or over at the time of entry. The winner's guest may be under 18, provided they are accompanied by the winner (who must be 18 or over) at all times during the trip and at the event. It is the winner's responsibility to ensure any guest under 18 has appropriate parental or guardian consent to attend.
  3. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Weekndr Ltd, HauntMap, Paranormal Scotland, or any third-party suppliers involved in administering this competition are not eligible to enter.
  4. The promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant and to disqualify any entrant who cannot be verified or who has breached these terms.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must complete all three of the following steps on the official HauntMap competition post during the entry period:

  1. Follow the HauntMap account on at least one platform: Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook.
  2. Like the official HauntMap competition post.
  3. Tag a friend in the comments of the competition post - someone you would take on the trip. Each comment must tag one person and be left on the official competition post. Multiple comments by the same entrant count as a single entry.

No purchase is necessary to enter. Entries are free and participation requires only a social media account on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook.

Alternative free entry - no social media required

To enter without a social media account, email boo@haunt-map.com with the subject line "Glasgow Competition Entry", including your full name and the name of the friend you would take on the trip. This route provides one entry equivalent to the social entry above. Postal entries will not be accepted.

Entries made via automated tools, bots, or third-party competition aggregator sites will be disqualified. Accounts with no prior activity or created solely for the purpose of entering competitions may be disqualified at the promoter's discretion.

5. Entry Period

The promoter reserves the right to extend or reduce the entry period and will announce any changes via HauntMap's social media channels and at www.haunt-map.com.

6. Winner Selection & Notification

  1. The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the entry period. The draw will take place on Friday 18 September 2026.
  2. The winner will be contacted via direct message on the social media platform through which they entered, or by the email address used for the alternative free entry route. The promoter will make two contact attempts within five working days of the draw.
  3. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within five working days of the second contact attempt, the promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  4. The winner's first name and initial will be announced on HauntMap's social media channels on or before 17 October 2026. By entering, participants agree to this. No further personal details will be published without explicit consent.
  5. The promoter's decision is final. No correspondence regarding the selection outcome will be entered into.

7. Travel, Booking & Logistics

  1. The trip takes place over the weekend of Friday 16 October to Sunday 18 October 2026, with the Paranormal Scotland event on Saturday 17 October 2026. The winner must be available on these dates. No alternative dates can be offered.
  2. Train travel and hotel will be booked by the promoter on the winner's behalf following confirmation of the winner's details. The winner must provide their full name, date of birth, and home postcode within five working days of being notified as winner, to allow travel bookings to be made.
  3. Return train travel will be arranged from the winner's nearest practical mainline station to Glasgow Central. Where direct services are not available, the promoter will arrange the most convenient practical route. Travel on the day of return (Sunday 18 October) will be arranged at a reasonable time to allow the winner to make their journey home comfortably.
  4. The Paranormal Scotland event tickets will be provided directly by Paranormal Scotland and will be communicated to the winner ahead of the event date. The promoter accepts no liability for any changes to the event made by Paranormal Scotland, including changes to venue, format, or cancellation. In the event of cancellation by Paranormal Scotland, the promoter will make reasonable efforts to substitute an equivalent paranormal experience of similar value.
  5. The two HauntMap t-shirts will be dispatched to the winner's UK address within 14 days of the winner confirming their postal address and clothing sizes. The winner is responsible for providing accurate sizing information.
  6. Travel insurance is not included in the prize. The winner and their guest are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance before the trip. The promoter accepts no liability for costs arising from cancellation, delays, injury, illness, or other incidents during travel or at the event.
  7. The winner must attend with the guest they named at the time of entry or in their initial contact with the promoter. Guest substitutions must be requested in writing to boo@haunt-map.com before any travel bookings are confirmed.

8. Data Protection

Personal data collected during this competition will be used solely for the purposes of administering the competition and delivering the prize. Data will be handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Weekndr Ltd's privacy policy, available at www.haunt-map.com.

Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to arrange prize fulfilment (for example, with rail operators, hotels, or Paranormal Scotland for ticket allocation). All competition entry data will be deleted within six months of the competition closing date.

By entering this competition, entrants consent to receiving a single follow-up communication confirming the competition outcome. Entrants may opt out of any further HauntMap marketing communications at any time by contacting boo@haunt-map.com.

9. Liability

  1. The promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or not received due to technical failures or circumstances outside its control.
  2. The promoter is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
  3. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition at any time for reasons outside its reasonable control, including force majeure, event cancellation, or travel disruption. In the event of cancellation, no compensation will be payable beyond any element of the prize already confirmed and delivered.
  4. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. General

  1. This competition and these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  2. These terms constitute the entire agreement between the entrant and the promoter in connection with this competition.
  3. If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
  4. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Meta Platforms Inc., Apple Inc., or Google LLC. Any questions or complaints should be directed to HauntMap at boo@haunt-map.com, not to any platform.
  5. Paranormal Scotland is a separate organisation and is not responsible for the administration of this competition, the selection of the winner, or the delivery of any element of the prize other than the event tickets.
